Etro Woman Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Titled 'The New Jazz Age'.

Inspired by Futurist artist Fortunato Depero, the signature paisley print has been deconstructed in to a broken collage.Stencil florals and paisley have a modern look.  Silhouettes are loose boxy shapes with either straight or dropped waists.
Fabrics are fluid and include crepe de Chine, silk and satin, embellished with intricate stone and thread embroderies and large tiled sequins.

Shorts are short and made in compact knits. Worn with printed silk shirts and long cardigans, kimono coats or tuxedo jackets.
Curved hems show off layers of silky finging New this season, patterns have been stategically placed to emphasize the curves.

An innovative new technique involves printing a fabric, then plisse pleating it, then overprinting again to create burnt inky edges on the pleats.

Colour palette is colourful with a light sorbet of apricot, mint, raspberry, lemon, peach, cream and ice blue mixed with harder citric colours of lime green and poppy orange and grounded with inserts of black.
